Experienced Pharmacist Marie D’Angelo

After starting her career in 2013 as a corporate community resident at CVS Health in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Marie D’Angelo spent five years as a pharmacy manager at a CVS Health and Walgreens. As a pharmacy manager, she leveraged the skills she developed during her residency in team management, patient care, and business strategy. Additionally, she strove to maintain high immunization rates among her patients by administering vaccines in her stores and at company clinics. Between 2017 and 2018, Marie D’Angelo functioned as a disease management skills lab instructor for pharmacy students, and in 2019 she transitioned to a role as a clinical outpatient pharmacist in gastroenterology.

Ms. D’Angelo graduated cum laude from Boston University with a bachelor’s in biochemistry and molecular biology. She subsequently received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester. During her time at the school, she was in the Rho Chi Honor Society and served as president of the college’s chapter of the American Pharmacists Association — Academy of Student Pharmacists. In this latter role, she increased student involvement by 50 percent. She enrolled in a master of science program at Northeastern University in 2018, where she focused on regulatory affairs in drugs, biologics, and medical devices.

Marie D’Angelo is a member of the American Pharmacists Association and has attended every APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition since 2010. She is also a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association. Her personal interests include kickboxing and cooking.
